Here are 30 things that I want to do before I turn 30. Sometimes in running to complete our daily routine we tend to miss the bigger picture, we forget to ask ourself- what do I want from my life ? and in turn what makes me happy ? So, the whole point of the exercise is to figure out what makes me happy and pursue the same. After all life is about pursuit of happyness (Cliched, but still...) I have been inspired to draw up this list by looking at a similar effort by Abhilash and Gaurav. Other than inspiration I also borrowed couple of rules from Abhilash's post, they being: 1) No goals concerning personal life 2)No goal should be even close to both ‘easy’ and ‘impossible’ So the 30 things are (Not in any particular order): 1) Start and run a media house 3) Go back packing across Europe for at least a month 4) Start a web startup 5) Go back to college (Study: History/Philosophy/Psychology/Journalism/Public Policy) 6) Own a coffee place 7) Complete reading 250 books (currently have 97 books on Shelfari) 8) Write a book (Non-fiction) 9) Play in a tennis tournament (Currently made a start: Bought tennis racket :P) 10) Visit all the states of India (Currently visited 5 states) 11) Learn to dance (one of them) 12) Complete a full Marathon 13) Go on a road-trip with no predetermined destination 14) Host a current affairs Talk show (Preferably on TV) 15) Go on a Beatles tour (Liverpool) 16) Follow campaign trail of Indian CM/PM candidate (On ground) 17) Watch cricket world cup/Champions trophy tournament from the stands 18) Learn to cook two different cuisines other than Indian 19) Build a place where I can house my personal library with over 500 books and Bose home system 20) Teach a course to an Undergrad class for one whole semester 21) Learn to play an instrument and play it to an audience of around 100 22) Mentor a college startup 23) Learn swimming and go scuba diving 24) Learn to write Morse code without the help of the log and learn to converse in a foreign language 25) Build a school 26) Average more than two treks every year 27) Attemp reading all the booker prize winning novels (Currently attempted 4, completed 2) 28) Script a full length movie 29) Take a month off to travel across Africa 30) Climb to Everest Base camp I am sure my attempt at completing these 30 things will be a very pleasurable expience and I shall cover all the stories from that jouney here on this blog itself.

Curious question : Is this because you're entering politics on November 20 2016 and want to get a few to-do things outta the way? :)
Haha...nice one...that would be a nice point for 40 under 40, contest an election :)!
not you too!
I would probably love to just sleep through!
:D
@utsav : :(
@kad: :)
Ok, how do you count the states travelled? I want to count mine. Btw, there's still time, you can call the no. of Indian states visited by a person as the Kiki number or something. http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/ideas/articles/2009/02/08/the_arbesman_limit/
@pandey:hehe..I just counted 'visting a state' as staying for more than a day in more than three places in that state.
Keki number actually sound funky..Should I call it first, before some one takes it :)
6) Do you also plan to give 10c off on coffee if your customer gave you the correct answer when asked to name any 5 planets in the solar system? Please don't forget to add **Hint: We consider Pluto to be a planet too! :)** - Courtesy - local coffee joint on campus.
20) Far fetched. Try 1 week first. But eye candy might help to resolve the issue. **Dumb blonde chick alert**
@aarti: Wonderful idea @6
@20: Surely shall keep that in mind :P
6) Kaapicat :D
